We are seeking a visionary and experienced Chief Architect to technically lead the development of 5G radio products for wireless infrastructure. As the overall product architect and technical prime, you will hold ultimate technical responsibility for taking development of Radio Units from concept phase through to volume manufacturing.
The ideal candidate will have own development experience from several technical disciplines within radio development, a track record of successfully leading radio products through development to mass production, very strong drive, and proven leadership and collaboration abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architectural and Technical Leadership: Define and maintain the overall architecture of radio products, ensuring alignment with technical and commercial goals. Provide day-to-day technical direction to the development team to secure timely delivery of the product.
- Solution Review and Approval: Review and approve designs and technical solutions proposed by the development team. Ensure that all solutions meet quality, performance, and compliance standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Drive discussions and negotiate compromises with team members and external stakeholders when necessary. Balance technical feasibility with business requirements to achieve optimal solutions.
- Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle. Foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence within the organization.
- Risk Management: Identify potential technical risks and issues early in the development process. Implement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure successful project outcomes.
- Documentation and Communication: Maintain clear and comprehensive architectural documentation. Communicate key technical decisions, rationale, and implications to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring transparency and understanding.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote and implement best practices in architecture and design. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with product management, development, quality assurance, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful delivery of a product meeting time, performance, quality, and cost requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Telecommunications, or a related field); Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical leadership roles within the telecommunications industry, with a strong focus on radio products and systems.
- Strong understanding of 5G, O-RAN and 3GPP technical specifications, and wireless network architecture, including DU and RU components.
- Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.

It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each situation. The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: specific skills, qualifications, experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. The pay range for this position is estimated at $112,000 to $179,200 USD. Additionally, this role may be eligible for a short-term incentive based on company results and individual performance.

The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: specific skills, qualifications, experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. The pay range for this position is estimated at $134,400.00 to $215,040.00 USD. Additionally, this role may be eligible for a short-term incentive based on company results and individual performance.
