Responsibilities:
- Leading security driven optical SW/product development and Software Development Lifecycle: requirements, architecture & design, implementation, tests, SDLC, SW Deployment&Operations&Maintenance, and Secure SW supply chain etc. management
- Be an evangelist in promoting Secure Software Development Framework within and beyond the optical SW&System organization
- Develop multi-year plan in alignment with EO-14028 ( related NIST secure software supply chain mgmt. ), and be the technical leaders to champion the execution of the plan
- Develop Secure SW framework policy, guiding principles, KPIs/metrics for different stages of SDLC, and work with organization and project mgmt. to iteratively Plan, Do, Check, Act with goals to continuously improving/elevating building security into SW/SW development
- Be the Security advocates influencing/bridging the SW product/services contents and DevSecOps development workflow.
- Provide technical guidance and Secure Software and SDLC training to other software teams on security services and tools.
- Experience with security protocols, e.g. FTP/SFTP, SSH, TELNET, RADIUS, TACACS, SSL, TLS, SAML, HTTP, HTTPS, and FIPS
- Issue investigation, status, and resolution during System Test
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong security development background
- Being a CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), or having equivalent experiences/skills mapping to the CISSP or Cybersecurity certifications such as OWASP (Open Worldwide Application Security Project)
- Technical, analytical, modelling, C++ and Phyton programming skills
- Ability to work in a team environment, collaborate on software development requirements and share innovative approaches or ideas with team members
- Strong leadership/influencing skills including both verbal and written communications skills
Experience & Education:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Information Technology
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience as a Software Engineer or equivalent role
- Working experience of secure SWDL development and devSecOps
- Working experience of secure embedded SW development life cycle/processes
- Familiar and experienced with NESSUS security scan and penetration scan.
- Ability to guide and influence the global software / product development teams to build security/EO-14028 into engineering development activities
