We are seeking Software Engineers to join our Software Development team in our Richardson, TX location.  As a contributing member of the team, you will help design, implement and enhance Fujitsu's next generation fiber optical communications products. As a team member, you will be working on one or more phases of SW development from design and implementation to unit testing and system integration.



  • Develop product and common software for transport domain, and participate in architecture discussions.
  • Develop product and common transport services and tools/SDKs to automate SW development
  • Develop and Integrate Software, Tools, Third party software, Open source software 
  • Maintain and Develop Framework software to support core business logics.
  • Accountable for as-planned execution and quality of the software developed
  • Follows the FNC software work flow, SW tools, & DevOps.
  • Support maintenance of the product and common transport code base.
  • Provide technical guidance to other software teams on services and tools provided by the transport teams.
  • Issue investigation, status, and resolution during test phases.


  • Minimum of 4 years of development experience
  • Need to have a Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineer or Equivalent
  • Expert in C/C++, Java, Python and Shell scripts
  • Experience in Embedded Linux systems with a strong understanding of multicore and multithreaded applications
  • Need to understand operating systems such as Linux (yocto), hands-on experience with scripting languages and tools.
  • Well versed in modern SW development concepts (model driven development), pipelines for automation, CI/CD
  • Comfortable with multi-site development of Software development
  • Any of the following will be a plus:
    • Experience with JIRA/Jenkins/Confluence
    • Experience with gRPC/Google Protocol Buffer
    • Experience with Embedded linux and Yocto project
  • Very good debugging skills and analytical skills to understand customer issues.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work with different team members in the group.
  • Close interaction with Tech Support/Product Support/Development and System test is essential.
  • Need to have the flexibility to work during off-hours and week-ends.


Educational Experience

  • Bachelor or Masters of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
