This internship is an ideal opportunity to develop your skills in a real world Human Resources environment. The position develops and performs in-depth review, analysis, and interpretation of various forms of Total Reward (primarily compensation and benefits data) to identify trends, help resolve discrepancies and improve the quality of data and management information.  This role will work with confidential data to provide ongoing support to the Reward team, HR Business Partners and the business.

 

Compensation:

  • Collaborate with the Compensation team to review and update company Job Codes and Market Benchmarks
  • Perform market pricing for any adhoc requests
  • Review the current FNAC Benchmarking philosophy and determine the impactof harmonizing with other FNACs would have on the business
  • Review the overtime eligible population in Canada by province and propose a policy to ensure compliance across the country
  • Review current geographic tiers in Canada and compare how the current classification align to Canadian legislation

 

Health and Welfare Benefits:

  • Assist with VEBA Audit to ensure the smooth running of that process
  • Help management with the initial planning of communications

 

Retirement Services:

  • Assist the team with the annual rollover analysis and data comparison process

 

Reward Special Project:

  • Working with Manager of Reward and Functional Team Leaders to establish a plan/approach to improve and consolidate communication of Reward packages to new hires and employees

 

Qualifications:

  • Incoming college Junior, Senior or Graduate student
  • Strong desire to gain experience in Human Resources with a focus in Total Reward (Compensation, Benefits and Retirement)
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to work on a team
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
