Role Description:

The Manager, Applications & Development leads a talented and creative team of business analysts, application admins and developers who work together to deliver SaaS/on-premises collaboration, engineering, and web application solutions. When off-the-shelf software doesn’t fit the business requirements, the team can develop web applications, Robotic Process Automations, and custom integrations to meet business needs.

 

Key Position Responsibilities:

  • With minimal supervision, this individual will manage and lead the Applications and Development team to provide business solutions for key stakeholders
  • Provide staff with goals, objectives, daily direction, functional strategy, and the leadership required to deliver a dependable, efficient application infrastructure supporting Fujitsu business needs.
  • Manage operation of a secure web application infrastructure and web development resources to deliver custom intranet and extranet applications to support our digital transformation goals
  • Manage operation of an enterprise PLM environment to support product/services lifecycle management and process automation
  • Manage end user support and adoption for Microsoft collaboration tools like SharePoint, SharePoint Online, Teams, Yammer, etc.
  • Lead the team delivering process mapping, design, development, and operation of UIPath Robotic Process Automation (RPA) platform to automate/streamline processes as part of our digital transformation goals
  • Maintain departmental budgets, vendor relationships and the software maintenance and support agreements necessary to ensure smooth operation of all supported platforms

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, business or related field
  • 3+ years direct people, process and budget management experience required.
  • Experience using Agile methodologies to manage enhancement of SaaS/On-Premises Applications and/or Custom Application Development.
  • 5 Years previous experience in custom application development and/or 3rd party application operations.
  • Strong problem solving, time management, organizational, planning/budgeting skills, as well as great attention to detail
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills with the ability to deliver vision, mission, and strategy to a broad audience.
  • Ability to directly interface with regional/global leadership, cross-functional and intra-company teams.
  • Program/project management skills are a plus.
