We are currently seeking a Network Sales Engineer (NSE) who will be responsible for formulating innovative network design options (hardware, software, services) that address customer business and technical objectives. We are looking for an individual who is eager to learn and contribute to the dynamic Sales team.

This unique group is your window to Sales and is comprised entirely of diverse set of engineers with technical know-how and ability to understand customer's business requirements and translate them into state-of-the art telecommunication network solution offers using a variety of automated tools, applications and manual calculations combined with creative designs from the engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate clearly with Sales to gather requirements and understand customer's technical needs to develop a model and bill of material for an optimized network design, as part of either RFP (request for proposal) or other business opportunities. The overall customer-ready proposal can include hardware, software and services components
  • Be willing and capable of rapidly developing a working knowledge of Fujitsu and strategic partner products and technologies : packet, optical, wireless, software and services
  • Develop and maintain various sales engineering tools, applications, etc. for use by sales. These can include network drawings, configuration tools, business models, spreadsheets, reference tables, etc.

 

Opportunities

  • Learn the business of the telecommunications industry, the related technologies and the business outcomes associated with packet-optical, wireless, software and services solutions
  • Expand insights and perspectives since this role interfaces with multiple groups (e.g. sales, services, product planning, commercial management, business units etc.), with some interaction with customers, while developing network designs or solution demonstrations

 

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar field
  • Strong analytical, problem solving as well as communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Skilled in Excel. Knowledge of Viso and web or scripting languages a plus.
  • Knowledge in networking or telecom technologies a plus, but not necessary - hardware, software and services, including general telephony, fixed or mobile wireless/4G/5G, fiber optics, Ethernet/data, SONET, WDM, Routing/Switching, SDN/MicroApps/Network Management
  • Self-motivated learner and “go-getter” attitude looking to proactively contribute to the company's success, including an open mindset towards agility, rapid response to customer's requests, proactive in identifying and solving challenges and a personality of continuous improvement
