We are looking for a Principle Software Engineer for our Richardson, TX office

 

Job Description: The Principle Software Engineer will be assigned a program primarily within the Network Systems Software organization to fill the role to help creation and development of the next generation Fujitsu System Software Architecture. The selected candidate should have a good foundation in C++/Python and extensive experience working in a LINUX development environment. The candidate should have a demonstrable understanding of software principles, theories, and concepts related to software engineering (including software development lifecycle and software development process), design patterns, clean architecture, clean code and Object Oriented analysis, design, and programming. 

Responsibilities:

  • Function as System Engineer for transport protocol including SNMP, WebGUI, Swagger, RestConf/NetConf to ensure FUJITSU alignment with the latest industry standards or open community agreements
  • Responsible for Transport Protocol alignment between FSS2 Northbound and Virtuora Southbound requirements
  • Lead / contribute one or more functional blocks for FSS Next architecture specification, design, PoC and development/productization
  • Bring into FSS Next the state-of-art software technologies/capabilities to enable platform agnostic functions/components or network-slicing functionalities with needed API/SDK
  • Able to think and design future-proof software framework and/or applications supporting FUJITSU MTP and key customer’s technology in support of the product roadmap   
  • Support FSS Gen3 development in its NB transport protocol, Framework, Database, and architecture/code/API refactoring and QCD improvement
  • Design, develop and code software sufficient to meet the requirements of one or more components or systems
  • Perform integration, test and documentation duties to ensure proper operation of hardware and software platforms
  • Integrate a wide variety of applications from various sources; integrate and ensure they meet performance standards
  • Adhere to gTDU quality standards and processes for development, including authoring requirement specifications, design documentations, writing code and unit tests which provide a high percentage of code overage; participating in code peer reviews, conducting design reviews, generating test plans to ensure maximum stability and quality of code, and creating automation to ensure 100% automated tests coverage
  • Support design and requirements analysis and derivation efforts for Requirements and Design Reviews for the Future
  • Conduct regular bug/problem RCA analysis, Learnings, and Corrective Actions as part of PDCA best practices
  • Work with multi-discipline teams in the creation of technical work products

 

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of software design and development experience in Java, C/C++ or C# in a LINUX or UNIX environment
  • 4+ years of leadership experience (team lead, technical lead)
  • 4+ years of experience in software architecture creation/development, organic and eco-system software integrations
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Self-motivated, Able to work independently with very little supervision
  • Desire to work and thrive in a team environment
  • Able to mentor, coach and influence to the entire global team; possess strong work ethics and is a continual positive pillar in the organization
  • Effective and crisp communication, able to articulate difficult technical issues with simplicity to suit variance scales of audiences
  • On the pulse with the state of art industry trend on SW architecture, tools, processes and methodologies, Forward looking, has the big picture as well as the ability to dive deepest into details when needed
  • Experience using source control tools associated with defect/issue tools
  • Experience developing and deploying distributed cloud-based applications
  • Experience using Atlassian toolsets; Experience with automated testing, build automation, Warrior, Robots, and FNC development and dependency management toolsets
