The Product Line Manager (PLM) who will have responsibility for Wireless [ Radio Units, Small Cells ] Product lines within the Wireless Business Unit (WBU): 


Key Responsibilities

  • Own product line management life cycle from product launch to MD process of wireless product lines.
  • Manage, facilitate, work with engineering and end customers on customer field issues by giving technical product issue updates to customers and identifying ways to mitigate customer risk.
  • Manage wireless solutions that could include a mix of organic wireless products, software and services to ensure the solution requirements are met and tested.
  • Document technical information bulletins (TIBs), Method of Procedures (MOP's), Product Change Notices (PCN), Manufacture Discontinue Notices (MDN), End of Life/Liftetime Buy requirements, etc to manage and disclose customer issues and updates to various wireless product lines.
  • Managing product releases that introduce new features, requirements for major and minor releases as identified in product roadmap.
  • Responsible for documenting product requirements for new HW and SW releases.
  • Manage roadmap requirements by closely working with Sales on customer needs/requirements
  • Generate business cases as necessary for software and hardware requirements that identifies the financial projections and value proposition for the release.
  • Facilitate customer calls on regular basis to address customer issues, requirements and technical updates; be able to drive and lead meetings and customer calls and follow up with action items.
  • Manage and facilitate customer lab evaluations and demonstrations by working with Sales and Engineering to provide configuration and support for customer requirements.
  • Work closely with internal customers such as Customer Account Management, Demand Planning, Operations, Purchasing, Order Administration, Quality and Engineering to address customer issues to address field issues, product rotation requirements, etc
  • Engage in New Product Introduction (NPI) for new wireless products, features, customer lab evaluation requirements.
  • Collaborate frequently with Japan and partners on product releases, technical issues being managed for each customer and customer lab trial activities.
  • Work with Customer Account Management (CAM) on business deal proposals that help increase revenue and margin for WBU across all customer accounts.
  • Must have ability to present product overview presentations and product field issues/investigation updates to customers



Basic Qualifications

  • BS in EE or Computer Science; MBA, preferably, MS desired but not required
  • Strong communication skills, organizational skills, telecommunications background and familiarity with Wireless Product lines.
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of wireless product management and network architecture specifically focused on Radio Access Network RAN is desirable
  • Excellent presentation and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge 5G, ORAN and 3GPP is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to regularly travel within NA territory is required.
