We are looking for a highly motivated networking software professional to join the Software Business Unit Network Automation team as a senior PLM for Virtuora SO and be a key contributor to the developing SMO offering and business opportunities. The role requires strong collaboration and communication including working with software engineering to plan requirements and releases, and to lead customer RFI/RFPs responses, business development and support customer engagements. They will work to drive roadmap and product launch deliverables as well as support the product post-sale. Taking initiative, leadership, strong communication and organizational skills are critical to succeed in this role in a rapidly developing part of our business. Virtuora orchestration and data analytics are key in the growth of our software business in 5G networking. Engagements with multiple Tier 1 operators have commenced and are expected to grow into significant strategic businesses.
Responsibilities & Success Factors
- Strong background in network management and automation software - particularly orchestration and mobillity software
- Formulate and build product offerings in support of strategic business offerings
- Business case development and maintenance
- Interworking with software partners and other ecosystem participants
- Engagement on market, customer and industry requirements including attendance and contribution to industry standard bodies (e.g. ORAN)
- Strong communication and presentation skills to support customer meetings and defining requirements
- Leadership in a high pressure, high growth software business
- Drive product requirements from roadmap to delivery
- Manage the software product roadmap
- Collaborate with offerings managers and integration/test teams
- Manage and facilitate customer lab evaluations and demonstrations
- Lead technical responses and participation in commercial offer formulation for customer RFI, RFP
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field is a requirement, advanced technical or business degrees are a plus
- At least 10 years of experience in software industry is a requirement - preferably networking/mobility
- Experience with open networking concepts, standards and ecosystems in software and associated network domains
- Experience in software product management and development
- Experience in customer-facing roles at a director level and above.
