We are seeking a Senior/Principle Software DevOps Engineer Lead with minimum 12 years of experience to join the DevOps side of Embedded Software Development organization in Richardson, Texas

 

Responsibilities

  • Technical lead to construct/enhance the SW DevOps Factory by understanding the existing infrastructure architecture and growing/maturing it to drive 5X embedded software development productivity increase within 1 years
  • Establish and mature the DevOps Factory design and workflow for the organization. Communicate the DevOps Factory workflow to obtain buy-ins from stakeholders and the engineering community
  • Identify gaps existing in the current Factory design/workflow and establish execution plans to remove the gaps
  • Collaborate with the executive stakeholders, peer organizations to execute the project plan with intermediate milestones/deliverables leading to DevOp Factory build-up,  then transition into full deployment & maintenance stage
  • Hands on in developing and driving DevOps nuts and bolts including Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) of software; Develop infrastructure to enable CICD; Monitor CI CD pipelines and statistics; Develop infrastructure to enable intelligent development integration testing; design, create and develop stream / branching strategies for components and projects
  • Leaderships, able to mentor, coach and influence to the entire global team; possess strong work ethics and is a continual positive pillar in the organization
  • Effective and crisp communication, able to articulate difficult technical issues with simplicity to suit variance scales of audience
  • Operates with bigger picture in mind, influence and collaborate effectively with the global Geo diverse teams to achieve total system optimization than silo operations

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or above degrees in Computer Science /Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Min 12 years’ experience in Software development among which 5+ years hands-on DevOps
  • On the pulse with the best industry trend on Embedded SW test (or DevOp, CICD  etc.) methodologies, forward looking, has the big picture and the ability to dive deepest into details
  • Breath of knowledge and depth of experiences on DevOps skills including but not limited to
    • Experience with Git, Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence, Ansible (or Puppet/Chef), Splunk or Nagios
    • Excellent coding skills in Python, Groovy scripts, Database, MySQL, REST
    • Experience with pytest, googletest, Selene and automation
    • Experience with containers, Qemu, Kubernetes 
  • Disciplined and consistent in applying high quality coding standard for feature and infrastructure
  • Ability to systematically transition/transform repeatitive manual work into automated script that can be plugged into the DevOps Factory workflow
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to influence thinking to the global software organizations
  • Motivated, goal oriented, strong work ethic; Flexible, adaptable and open to change
