We are seeking Software Engineers to join our Software Development team.  As a contributing member of the team, you will help design, implement, and enhance Fujitsu's next generation fiber optical communications products. As a team member, you will be working on one or more phases of SW development from design and implementation to unit testing and system integration.

Responsibilities:
Participate in architecture discussions and lead Software Design discussions
Provide technical leadership to a small team of Software Engineers
Independently lead technical discussions with Business Unit for features
Develop middleware software functions using and adding to third party software
Develop and Integrate Software, Tools, Third party software, Open source software 
Well versed in modern SW development concepts (model driven development), pipelines for automation, CI/CD
Comfortable with multi-site development of Software development

Issue investigation, status, and resolution during System Test.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of development experience
Expert in C/C++, Python,  and Shell scripts
Experience in Embedded Linux systems with a strong understanding of multicore and multithreaded applications

Experience in one or more of the following: Confd, DDS, Kafka, distributed messaging frameworks, TCP/IP, Hadoop, Storm, Spark etc
Strong debugging skills including the use of GBD and analytical skills to understand customer issues.
Experience with the Atlassian suite of SW development tools.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work in a team environment, collaborate on software development requirements and share innovative approaches or ideas with team members
Close interaction with Tech Support/Product Support/Development and System test is essential.

Experience in unit test, continuous integration (CI/CD) frameworks

Motivated, goal oriented, strong work ethic

Flexible, adaptable and open to change

Technical, analytical, modelling, and programming skills 

Educational Experience

• Bachelor or Masters of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
