JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

• Develop Product, Blade, 3rd party software, open source software, and participate in architecture discussions.
• Accountable for as-planned execution and quality of the middleware, platform, and blade software developed
• Develop Product and Blade services and tools for the Application SW
• Part of delivering a stable and scalable SDN Platform for application developers.
• Follows the Product/Blade Software work flow, SW tools, & APP SW Platform environment.
• Support maintenance of the APP SW and Blade code base.
• Provide technical guidance to other software teams on services and tools provided by the Product/Blade teams.
• Issue investigation, status, and resolution during System Test.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of development experience
• Need to have a Degree in Computer Science.
• Need to understand operating systems such as Linux (yocto), hands-on experience with scripting languages and tools.
• Any of the following will be a plus:
  • Experience in EMS/NMS development.
  • Hands-on experience with Open Daylight (ODL) or ONOS and SDN controller development
  • Hands-on experience of various communication protocols such as Netconf, TL1 and modelling tools such as Yang
  • Exposure to messaging frameworks like Kafka and J2EE frameworks like Spring.
• Very good debugging skills and analytical skills to understand customer issues.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work with different team members in the group.
• Close interaction with Tech Support/Product Support/Development and System test is essential.
• Need to have the flexibility to work during off-hours and week-ends.
