Software Lab Engineer

Fujitsu is looking for a Software Lab Engineer to help us maintain our internal services labs as part of our Operate and Maintain and consulting system integration team. The right candidate should be able to learn quickly, work in a team, and help devise innovative ideas to solve Internal and external customer needs.


  • Manage and maintain lab equipment, test kits and servers, and applications associated with the software, hardware, services lab
  • Maintain inventory and keep records of equipment and supplies
  • Installing operating systems, configuring servers and networks, providing backup plans
  • Help maintain calibration and repairs of equipment
  • Support automation activities for services operations

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field 
  • Experience installing Linux/Unix servers
  • Basic knowledge of administering Linux Operating System, preferably Red Hat Linux (Red Hat Certification would be nice)
  • Basic understanding of SQL databases
  • Knowledge of programming fundamentals
  • Understands TCP/IP networking protocols (Layer 2 and Layer 3)
  • Basic understanding of Switches and Routers
  • Experience in virtualization technology such as KVM and VMware a plus
  • Experience with OpenStack a plus
  • Understands containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc
  • Must be willing to learn new technologies and get out of the comfort zone when needed
  • Analytical, Responsive, and Problem-solving creativity is a must-have

  • Help drive the evolution of our lab infrastructure
