Position Overview:


  • We are seeking a Technical Specialist to work closely with the Sales Team to promote customer understanding and adoption of network automation software solutions
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate success in sales support, account management and services solutions growth
  • You will interface with clients to identify business problems or needs and determine solutions.  
  • A typical day as a Technical Specialist will consist of developing statements of work, test plans, and use case documents and producing value-add analysis
  • In this position, you will report to Eric Strand, Manager of Technical Specialists
  • As part of the Technical Specialists team, you will collaborate across functional departments including sales, marketing, operations and R&D
  • This position works for Fujitsu Network Communications in Richardson.  We are currently working remotely due to Covid and will re-evaluate returning to the office in 2021
  • Must be willing to travel up to 75% of the time following our return to the office

Desired Skills & Knowledge:

  • Awareness of industry trends including multi-vendor & multi-technology solutions
  • General understanding of object based programming
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn Unix, Linux, Python
  • Understanding of Service Orchestration
  • Technical skills including Virtual Machines (Virtualbox)
  • Familiarity with OpenStack / ONAP architectures, NETCONF / YANG, SNMP, REST API
  • Familiarity with API tools such as Swagger or Postman Experience responding to RFI & RFPs
  • Excellent client facing skills



Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical field
  • At least 7 years related experience and/or training
  • Technical Sales experience in networking, AI Ops, SDN / NFV, Wireless (including 5G), WDM, Ethernet, and/or OTN is preferred
