Job Description

  • This position is for an experienced Quality Engineer with 5 years of experience.
  • The successful candidate will work as a member of the Fujitsu Network Communications (FNC) Quality Engineering Team
  • Responsibilities will include, but not limited to, ownership of quality functions for new product development, product updates, audits, QC data analysis, and general quality related assignments.



  • Conduct Project Review Gates, Project Post Mortems, and review deliverables for compliance.
  • Mentor Project Leads on Fujitsu Program Management and Project Teams on development processes and methodology. Provide quality/process training as required.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis of issues and analysis of project measures with the development teams.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement of development processes.  Ensure process documentation is current.
  • Propose and implement efficiencies within the quality organization and within the project teams.
  • Support internal and external audits including TL 9000. Follow up on audit findings and observations.


Key Skills and Attributes

  • Strong/confident communication skills; - oral, written, and "non-verbal" with ability to passionately defend thoughts and engage in difficult conversations.
  • Advanced user of 2007 Excel (e.g. VBA), MS Word, MS PowerPoint
  • Preferred Tools/Process Knowledge, Atlassian (JIRA, Confluence), SW Development, Product Life Cycle, Agile, Waterfall Development
  • Ability to work independently with sound analytic skills



  • Bachelors/Master’s Degree in Engineering and 5+ years experience in similar position
  • Knowledge of product, hardware and software development processes
  • Knowledge of improvement techniques (e.g. root cause analysis, 5-whys)
  • Knowledge of Audits, Quality Concepts, and Process Definition
  • Knowledge of TL 9000
